"No Borders" - Romanian-Bulgarian bilateral business meeting
The global economic context, the globalization of economic relations and not in the end, the economic crisis obliges us to develop activities and take decisions based on the effects of these phenomena: to cut budgets, to dimiss employees or even to close offices and branches, but also to consider strategies that help us grow our company, looking to new markets and new investment opportunities.
Why “No Borders”?
Bulgaria and Romania, two neighboring countries, with many similarities and also with great potential for cooperation were separated by borders several decades. Today, these frontiers remained only symbolic. The transfer of persons and goods is freely now between the two countries and business transactions can be carried very easily. However, the boundaries of yore still exist in our minds. For this reason, we are often disposed to initiate trade relations with companies from more distant countries, simply because we know little about the country next to us.

Ascent Group in partnership with UNPR – National Union of Romanian Employers, BRCCI – Romanian–Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Manager Magazine aims to demolish the last imaginary border, through the event "No Borders" - a Romanian-Bulgarian bilateral business meeting, held in Ruse, Danube Plaza Hotel, on 18 June 2009. A number of important companies from Romania and Bulgaria will attend to this event. The aim of this economical missions is to encourage the cross-border cooperation between companies in Romania and Bulgaria and to stimulate business partnerships for both countries companies.
"No Borders" is a project which aims to encourage investors from Romania and Bulgaria and to facilitate the access on the neighbor market so to benefit by the opportunities that other country offers to the investors.
To whom is addressed the event "No borders"?
- Romanian companies interested in starting a company in Bulgaria
- Bulgarian companies interested in starting a company in Romania
- Bulgarian and Romanian companies interested in identifying customers in the other country
- Bulgarian and Romanian companies interested in identifying suppliers in the other country
- Bulgarian and Romanian companies interested in identifying business partners in the other country
- Bulgarian and Romanian companies interested to learn about business environment, but also about the legal background and tax in the other country
How the event will be run?
No Borders event will take place during a single day, on 18 June 2009, at Russe and will consist of:
- a series of short presentations on the business, legal and tax environment of each of the 2 countries and the major business opportunities that these countries offer.
- bilateral meetings between business people present to the event and prospective business partners from the other country.
Participation fees
- 50 Euro + VAT / participant (includes participation at event for a company representative, a coffee-break and lunch);
- for companies that register multiple participants the fee is 30 EUR + VAT / participant starting with the second participant.
To make this event very practical and useful to participants, depending on the area of interest specified by them on application form, Ascent Group will identify and invite to the event potential business partners from the neighbouring country.
