What did you study and what marked your academic training?

I graduated from the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad, majoring in Management, and obtained a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship. For the last nine years I have been working in the hospitality industry as an event organizer and hotel receptionist. Thanks to the multicultural interaction and social categories I met in the hotel industry, I developed empathy, patience, communication and professional attitude.

What activities do you enjoy in your free time?

I strive to use my free time in the most useful and healthy way for my development. There are three activities that I consider the basis of my personality structure: reading, watching plays and running in nature. I read books on literature and psychology, which helps me to understand the structure of the human condition, the current challenges of society and the challenges of our adaptation process.

How would you describe yourself personally?

I am a contemplative, dreamy person – some would say, but connected at the same time to events in the environment and to others. I can honestly and proudly say that I have a gift of offering patience and understanding to those with whom I am in contact. Each person has a unique personality, a past they have to come to terms with and a desire to connect with their fellow human beings. Through working with people with disabilities, I have strengthened my empathetic side and become more aware of the impact we can have on others.

What motivates you in your work?

This question I can associate with Maslow’s Pyramid. The motivation that keeps me engaged at work is that through my performance I can develop myself, but also develop the work for which I am responsible. The professional environment I am part of helps me daily to excel myself and not stop learning. The support from my colleagues and the energy they give me motivates me to be part of the Ascent Group family.

What made you choose your current field of work?

I felt the need to make a change professionally. I’m studying psychology and I want to transfer the knowledge I’ve gained to the area of human resources. I am eager to learn about the employee-organisation relationship and the impact of artificial intelligence on HR effectiveness.
