Way of working

This course is built on the “learning by doing” principle, offering a dynamic and hands-on learning experience. Each module is designed to encourage active participation through applied exercises, simulations, role-plays, and interactive games, all facilitated via virtual collaboration platforms such as Miro, Mural, Zoom, and more.

Thanks to these digital tools, the online sessions are highly interactive, closely replicating the dynamics of an in-person training. Participants collaborate in real time, tackle practical challenges, and actively contribute to discussions—ensuring a high level of engagement and idea exchange.

Around 70% of the course content is dedicated to practical activities. All skills and tools introduced are practiced on a concrete project—either a real one from the participant’s own work or a fictitious scenario—so that learning remains contextualized and relevant.

Case studies and exercises mirror real-life business situations, providing participants with the opportunity to test and refine skills that can be applied directly to their day-to-day professional activities.

About the trainer

Vlad-Mihai Icleanu  – with over 12 years of experience working alongside organizations, startups, and traditional companies, he has consistently taken on two roles: manager and trainer.

His background includes coordinating an innovation hub of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) in Romania, contributing to the development of a supportive environment for startups under the Cluj Startups umbrella, and managing the INCUBOXX business center—experiences that have shaped him into a strong advocate for innovation, efficient work, and learning from mistakes.

As a trainer, he is most challenged and inspired by topics in financial management, strategy, and innovation—areas in which he has been developing content at Ascent Group since joining the team in 2023.

After 11 years of involvement in Romania’s academic debate scene, however, the topic closest to Vlad’s heart remains public speaking—a field that inspires him and adds impact to every project and solution he designs for clients.
